FOR MEN WHO FIND IT HARD TO SAY IT OUT LOUD
You don’t have to laugh it off here.
Being hurt, used, controlled, assaulted or humiliated does not make you weak.
A lot of men stay quiet because they expect to be mocked, doubted, blamed, or told to “man up.” We won’t do that here. You can tell us what happened in your own words. You can use your name, another name, or no name at all.
You do not have to prove anything before you speak.
You may have been hurt by a partner, a relative, a friend, someone at work, someone in authority, or someone you trusted. It may have been physical, sexual, emotional, financial, online, or something you still do not know how to name. You do not need the perfect words.
No one here is asking you to “man up.”
You are allowed to say that something hurt you. You are allowed to say you were scared, confused, ashamed, angry, or not sure what to do.
You can stay anonymous.
If using your name feels like too much, do not use it. You can still tell the story.
You decide what happens next.
You choose whether the story stays private, appears on the website, or may be shared on social media.
You are not less of a man because something happened to you.
Sometimes speaking is the first moment you stop carrying the whole thing by yourself.
What can you talk about?
Anything that left you feeling violated, controlled, frightened, used, humiliated, unsafe, or unable to speak freely. That can include:
- Sexual assault or unwanted sexual contact
- Violence from a partner
- Emotional or psychological abuse
- Being controlled, threatened or blackmailed
- Stalking or digital abuse
- Abuse by someone in authority
- Exploitation or trafficking
- Violence in the family or community
- Being mocked, shamed or threatened into silence
- Something else you simply need to get off your chest
Stories from men
When men choose to let us share their stories, they will appear here. Some may use their names. Others will stay anonymous.
No men’s stories have been published here yet.
That does not mean men are not going through these things. It often means they have not felt safe enough to say so publicly. This space is here when someone is ready.
If you are in immediate danger: this page is not watched around the clock. Please contact emergency services or a trusted local support service where you are, if it is safe for you to do so.
