About the writer
My background spans writing, translation, teaching and database work. Across those fields, I have remained interested in how meaning is carried, how institutions communicate, and how people experience decisions made far above them.
That perspective shapes the questions I return to on TUBUO Writes: human dignity, public institutions, conflict, language, community, gender-based violence and the gap between formal rights and ordinary life.
I would rather leave uncertainty visible than let a polished sentence outrun the evidence behind it. That principle shapes the writing, the Africa GBV Observatory and the other projects on this site.
